Rant: likeable and unlikeable characters to evaluate quality of a game/tv show/book/movie, isn't subjective?

I do always have an issue when people make a review about a game or tv show or film or book or comic book or graphic novel, they write or say for example:

"this A game has likeable characters so it's good" or "This B animated show has dislikeable characters therefore it's bad".

With these examples, that's where my problems resides, a quality of a story doesn't reside if the characters are likeable or not, because people have different opinions on what they consider likeable or not, it's quite like in Harry Potter books and movies, each person who read the books has a different vision of the characters, so of course the actors wouldn't be like exactly or very similar to the character as the readers had in their minds, so the right way to evaluate a character is by analysing and see how well-rounded they are, not if likeable or not.

The purpose of well-rounded characters, it's not with the intention to make the character likeable or glorified or to be a role model but to treat as a person first with flaws, virtues, strengths, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, the amount of resilience, convictions, ideals, not a black-white character but much deeper and complex, more to the character than what meets the surface.

Many people has the bad habit of judging a character or evaluate them basing on what's on the surface of their actions, don't even question why he/she did, when given reasons is:
"because he is a jerk" or "because she is annoying" (each person has a different ideas of what they consider annoying or jerk) and when they say why they think a character is annoying or jerk:
"because it did A,B,C,D,etc.",  but the actions/reactions/personality traits and why he/she did it, that's what a well-rounded character is. Remember Understanding is different from Liking, understanding a character doesn't mean you like the character.
It's noticeable likeable and dislikeable is a matter of a personal subjective opinion and not an evaluation.
If the characters are well-rounded or not, it's an evaluation.

there is many well-rounded characters I dislike, Umbridge, Voldemort, Amon, Lucius Malfoy, "Father" Homunculus, etc.
as much there is many well-rounded characters I like and love, Atemu/Atem"Yami No Yugi", Yugi Mutou, Harry Potter, Izayoi Aki, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Azula, Aqua, etc...(yeah, too many to list).

also there are few well-rounded characters which I feel indifferent or like and dislike, Snape (sorry fans, but he is in my like and dislike list, in another words, in the middle :p), Mazaki Anzu (same with Snape), most of the Homunculus, etc.

woah, sorry for not posting too long, some unexpected page releases came out from Paranatural...the usual friday release and unexpected release yesterday o.O, I didn't noticed until now...and he announced on 4th March...man..so late xDD, Zack Morrison will release new pages on Mondays too, in another words Mondays and Fridays, COOL.
I'm four pages late, anyways, so far, I so envy Isaac and Max friendship, I always wanted to have conversation solely of sarcasm and play with words with a friend.

it did come out yesterday...

Man, the Mr. Doorman is weird, I love the humor with words and functions and meaning with the words xDD, sarcasm for the win. He seems to be a little complicated ._.

according to what Corrick says, makes sense why they were working together searching and excavating the artefacts, sure the story is starting to move, from so far, K. Lynn Smith get the timing right, when we think we're getting a background and somehow something always interrupt or moves on something else, such as when Corrick was about to tell his story and was interrupted by Tegan bringing Vesper new outfit and the key of the story movement and character development, Vesper's father journal, nice touches to make us wonder more about the main characters and the villain and Vesper's father, the whole story.

Ouchy...story unfolding? well I really thought we were going to Vesper background, so Dominic and Vesper's father worked together, it seems from the photo they look like got along, makes someone wonder what makes them enemies...

Webcomic: Plume NEWS!!!! and new Pages

hoy! hoy! Awesome news!! if you read Plume Webcomic, started previous week, my , 3 new pages every week of Plume webcomic, Monday, Wednesday and Friday!! so previous week came out page 3-5, so this week will be page 6-8!!
so I will show the new pages I still haven't shown...

Tegan, that last panel on page five, wasn't expecting at all, I had to re-read 3 times, to make sure I understood what I just read xD. I wonder what she means by "my man" and call him for nickname, she seems to know him very well and looks like they had a relationship or something, I wonder what's between them.
Page 6, oh my xDD, Tegan is such a straight-to-the-point or so quick to the point xDD, she is quite honest...
her dress being a circus tent, I know what she means by that, it's not in a mean way, wearing the kind of dress she wears, it's not practical or comfortable in the battlefield, she's right, don't worry Vesper, I'm sure you gonna love the new outfit (I know it's the outfit we saw in the beginning, well, obviously), even though I'm sure she's gonna love, fitd her personality so well and I want to see her reaction to it so bad .
Oh Tegan, you're kinda mean too and kind at the same time xD.
Vesper, :( let me hug you, that's a lot of grief and pain you're carrying, I know how it feels very well what she is feeling.

Webcomic: Plume - page 4 of chapter 4

I so wasn't expecting this!! One more page this week?! it is usually once a week, but this week, we had 2 pages!! when discovered on facebook (I follow it's page), this was my reaction "OoO NO WAY!!".

Now regarding the context of the page, well well, interesting, right off the bat once the man says "I think you might be confused, little girl. You're in the wrong place..."  and she replies like that, Vesper is on fire, then comes Tegan to difuse not only the situation but also the tension, to not start a rumble xDD.

Lynn Smith, even though she cried but doesn't stop there, her resilience is amazing, such an headstrong young woman :3.

Webcomic: Plume, Page 2 of chapter 4 came out!

lalalalalala, this is really awesome, I almost thought the woman Tegan was cleaning was Vesper, it didn't made much sense to start like that, because I was sure Vesper didn't got blood in the mouth.

I love how Vesper answer to Corrick..."would you shut up, Corrick and find the coroner?", it's feels very like her in a funny and good way.

they are indeed an explosive duo.

Tegan's reaction was very interesting, I wonder how they gonna meet, I look forward to see it.
