Games | Playing: Pokémon X ---------- Pottermore Speculations

I finished the game yesterday (17th December, Tuesday), now I'm on the exploring part, I did have won 1 battle in Battle Maison, then I did go capture some pokemons I always wanted Honedge, Eevee (to evolve into Jolteon) and I got a mystery gift being Torchic together with his megastone, neat!
I have intentions of collecting all mega evolutions from Pokemon X and fight the 4 sisters.
Yes, I'm having a lot of fun with the game.

Sorry but I kept the boots, I just think are very cool.

Pottermore Speculation

Now about Pottermore, I believe most of fans suspect there is a big chance of the Next instalment of Goblet of Fire will be around this week or Monday 23rd December, my bet is will be about twelve chapters to reach Yule Ball, after all happens on Christmas, I suspect they gonna give special touch on the Yule Ball moment (I do seriously wonder how it will turn out the illustration)  and I'm sure this moment will also be featured at Playstation Home Pottermore.

which chapters I speculate most about which will have exclusive info:
Chapter 12: The Triwizard Tournament - High chance
Chapter 13: Mad-Eye Moody - Very High chance
Chapter 14: The Unforgivable Curses - 50% chance
Chapter 15: Beauxbatons and Durmstrang - High Chance
Chapter 16: The Goblet of Fire - Low chance
Chapter 17: The Four Champions - Low chance
Chapter 18: The Weighing of the Wands - 50% chance
Chapter 19: The Hungarian Horntail - Very Low chance
Chapter 20: The First Task - Very Low chance
Chapter 21: The House-Elf Liberation Front - 50% chance
Chapter 22: The Unexpected Task - Very Low chance
Chapter 23: The Yule Ball - 50% chance

in another words the chapters I think it has the highest chances are the chapter 12 (from how it started the triwizard tournament), Chapter 13 (not hard, bio of mad-eye, maybe?) and Chapter 15 (about the schools).

Games | Playing Pokémon X

Yep, I got a week ago, that's why I haven't been posting lately :p

I'm loving the game so far, I usually played Pokemon games on GBA emulators, I did liked them, but it's not the same, I'm pretty sure you know that playing the same game on a emulator of the handheld and in the handheld gives a different feel, also I'm not a PC person when comes to play video games, I'm into consoles (whether is home or handheld console).

I do have now 5 badges, now 3 to go...
I think Mega Evolution is pretty cool, I love the animation of the mega evolutions and also the attacks of the Pokemons and special effects of certain moves, it's hard to take way your eyes off it, my favourite so far is Electro Ball, Flame Charge and Fly.
Now when it comes to Pokemon, I'm loving Talonflame (it's kinda like an hawk+phoenix), it's a very cool fire bird...
I do also love Charizard Mega Evolution X, it's very cool...I love the Black+Blue in Charizard

I chosen to start with Chespin, since the other two is very popular, it's kinda cool and cute, it has an innocent look.
Now I intend to train my aerodactyl because he has an mega evolution, but I don't know if have the right stone or not...

now take a look at my trainer:
I'm a girl but I chosen the boy, I like the boys clothes more than the girls anyway and I named him Calem, as it's named when he is your neighbour, the picture I took with my Lapras female that I named Aqua.

Rant: likeable and unlikeable characters to evaluate quality of a game/tv show/book/movie, isn't subjective?

I do always have an issue when people make a review about a game or tv show or film or book or comic book or graphic novel, they write or say for example:

"this A game has likeable characters so it's good" or "This B animated show has dislikeable characters therefore it's bad".

With these examples, that's where my problems resides, a quality of a story doesn't reside if the characters are likeable or not, because people have different opinions on what they consider likeable or not, it's quite like in Harry Potter books and movies, each person who read the books has a different vision of the characters, so of course the actors wouldn't be like exactly or very similar to the character as the readers had in their minds, so the right way to evaluate a character is by analysing and see how well-rounded they are, not if likeable or not.

The purpose of well-rounded characters, it's not with the intention to make the character likeable or glorified or to be a role model but to treat as a person first with flaws, virtues, strengths, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, the amount of resilience, convictions, ideals, not a black-white character but much deeper and complex, more to the character than what meets the surface.

Many people has the bad habit of judging a character or evaluate them basing on what's on the surface of their actions, don't even question why he/she did, when given reasons is:
"because he is a jerk" or "because she is annoying" (each person has a different ideas of what they consider annoying or jerk) and when they say why they think a character is annoying or jerk:
"because it did A,B,C,D,etc.",  but the actions/reactions/personality traits and why he/she did it, that's what a well-rounded character is. Remember Understanding is different from Liking, understanding a character doesn't mean you like the character.
It's noticeable likeable and dislikeable is a matter of a personal subjective opinion and not an evaluation.
If the characters are well-rounded or not, it's an evaluation.

there is many well-rounded characters I dislike, Umbridge, Voldemort, Amon, Lucius Malfoy, "Father" Homunculus, etc.
as much there is many well-rounded characters I like and love, Atemu/Atem"Yami No Yugi", Yugi Mutou, Harry Potter, Izayoi Aki, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Azula, Aqua, etc...(yeah, too many to list).

also there are few well-rounded characters which I feel indifferent or like and dislike, Snape (sorry fans, but he is in my like and dislike list, in another words, in the middle :p), Mazaki Anzu (same with Snape), most of the Homunculus, etc.

I hope I was clear :).

Games: Pokémon X and Y news

There is some news, I'm kinda late about PokemonX&Y, such as the mega evolutions, but my focus will be some special features didn't come out before ever :

Styling Your Character
Character Customization variety, in the game you start with basic while you move in in cities, you can go to boutiques to style your hair and clothes even change colours, I think many of us have been waiting an opportunity to do this in Pokemons.

Next is...

Super Training
It makes me remember when I played Kingdom Hearts 3D with your spirits, it's quite similar, with few differences, different styles of grinding your Pokemons

Trainer PR Videos

This resembles a bit of Yu-Gi-Oh! Online and their DS games, the difference is to make promotional videos of your poses as a trainer and you have to go to a PR Video Studio to do so.

So there is plenty of interesting innovations
even Mega-evolutions that are temporary, many don't like the idea, but I do, I wouldn't want to be permanent, I think it's cool your character to make pose for it, I see this Pokemon Mega Evolutions as Super Saiyan of Pokemon, but instead from randomly from the Pokemon, it depends how strong is the bond of the trainer with your Pokemon, which requires more variety of strategies in battle...

Speaking of battles, there is Sky Battles:
I always wanted something like this to happen, this is very neat.

Games| Finished and replaying - Fire Emblem Awakening and Playing Tales of Xillia

I finished the game, the game is amazing, at least for me is, I loved the ending, it's so sweet, even though the characters sayings to Robin took long come through all of them was a bit boring, but I loved it's closure.

I still can't say much who my favourite characters are, since I didn't have all the children and characters to the army, but for now I can assure is My Unit(female), Chrom, Lucina, Morgan, Lon'qu, Cordelia and Lissa.
it's quite a good number of characters, I like most of them, many of them have their quirks which I found funny and interesting, which makes the characters all the more unique.

Now I'm replaying as the male My unit, whom intend to marry with Lucina and this time I will make sure to get all the characters of the story (Tharja, Gaius and the other children) - some change of couples though except for Lon'qu and Cordelia.

as the title says, I'm also starting to play Tales of Xillia, on Milla perspective - so far from where I am, I'm still kinda at the start...recently Elize joined in the battle and I'm in Sharilton, I'm liking the game very much.

Games | Playing Fire Emblem: Awakening

I'm loving the game so much, I'm in chapter 22 - training characters phase before going to complete chapter...

even though I got most of their children, but not all characters in my unit, such as Gaius and Tharja (because I was an idiot, I didn't know you had to go talk them first with Chrom or Avatar at the time), also I couldn't catch up with Severa and passed unintentionally probably Laurent -.- .

now misses of the ones I can now is Nah and Yarne, let's see who I can pair up who with who (I know who are the mothers, now only misses the right partners).

The game definitely has replay value, I still haven't even finished the game and I'm still thinking what next how I will do, this doesn't usually happen to me with video games, specially strategy (however I do enjoy strategy board games).
Do you know the good feeling that when you make an good investment in your shopping, when you simply don't regret what you bought, it was very well worth it, so you have a special love for it, specially with your own money, Fire Emblem: Awakening it's in that list and with replay value makes all the more worth it, believe me is very hard something I buy goes to this list, it's starting to have intrinsic value to me.

btw I think Fire Emblem: Awakening has a really pretty cover art :D

Games | Playing Fire Emblem: Awakening

It arrived on Monday - 22nd July, I started playing after dinner, guess what? I'm already addicted xDD

I do only play at evening after dinner, house chores and analysis to write, even though I didn't have much chances to write analysis, and my sprained ankle kinda get's in the way to feel comfortable to write... also I don't want to overuse my Nintendo 3DS, I want to keep my beloved handheld healthy...

so the game so far, I'm loving it so far, even though I'm in chapter 11, so I'm close to half of the game, I'm playing with Female My Unit/avatar by default customizations and name except the date and strengths|weakness, etc, I do have intentions to do the same but as male then will be the way I want xDD.

I can't say much about my favourite characters, I'm still waiting to reveal more of the characters I'm on the look out first...
I do like most of the characters, some of them I don't dislike them, they are just a little boring, others rather interesting, I did already make already 3 couples - My UnitF&Chrom, Frederick&Sumia and Kellam&Miriel (I like this one a lot, it's so weird and quirky), I'm preparing some others.

so the gameplay is very cool, I love the pair up support, it's so cool, it gives support and these supports the more they involve, better is the teamwork performance, in another words, the character development affects the gameplay and characters performance, which is very neat, usually I'm not into strategy except for strategy board games, but this strategy RPG is like playing chess but with story and character development.
it's very addicting and the story...I didn't move that much, but so far I'm liking a lot.

I will give you some news how I'm going in the game as I move forward with the game...

Thoughts and Observations: Kingdom Hearts 3D - Dream Drop Distance

YES, I finished the game officially

http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/party2.gifhttp://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/party2.gifhttp://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/party2.gifhttp://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/party2.gifhttp://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/party2.gifhttp://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/party2.gifhttp://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/party2.gifhttp://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/party2.gifhttp://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/party2.gif
Of course, I didn't collect all treasures and the spirits and all the trophies.
But I unlocked the Secret Message and Secret Ending, for me to be able to accomplish it, it means a lot to me, it's usually the hardest parts besides the all the trophies to collect (which I'm not sure if I can
http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/nirvana.gif).
I loved the game of course, the battle system is love <333, my favourite is the flow motion and the deck comands, but a bit small, even though I finished in 78 hours and 15 minutes to be precise (Lv 79 - Sora, Lv 78 - Riku), it looks big, it's big if it is for the Secret Message and Secret Ending, for you to unlock it, in Standard Mode you have to unlock 7 trophies, the difficulty level I played.

in case you need how many you have to in different difficulties here:
Standard Mode = 7 Trophies
Proud Mode  or Highter = 5 Trophies
Yes, no secret ending and message for Beginner Difficulty Level.
So if you're a fan like myself, better go buy a Nintendo 3DS and the game (please don't give the "buy a console for 1 game", in 3DS case is for 3 games of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 3D isn't the only good game for 3DS, there is plenty more), there is quite a shocking revelation, the other surprising, one that we were all we fans were hoping for ;),
some revelations and informations that may be important for Kingdom Hearts 3, or else you will be confused with the story in general of Kingdom Hearts if you have only played Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2.

Spoilers Ahead (you must have played the game)!!!

Playing | Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

I finally have the necessary conditions to unlock the secret message and ending (the 7 trophies in Standard Mode).

To me is quite a big deal to play in Standard Mode a video game, because I usually play at the lowest level (Beginner), since I played 3 Kingdom Hearts games (Kingdom Hearts 1, 2 and Birth By Sleep) and still playing 358/2 Days.

when I finish the game I'll make a preview (no spoilers then) with the purpose to show it's features (Flowmotion, Reality Shift, Flick Rush, Link Portals and Deck Commands), so pay attention ;).
